“A vision without a task is visionary. A task without a vision is drudgery. A task with a vision is what makes a missionary. ”
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
Spiritual Vision provides direction, challenge, and structure for life.
First, God wants to clear up the basic blindness of sin in our lives. It clouds are perception of things, people and situations. This is the challenge we all face because…let’s face it, the truth hurts. Our fairy tale reality feels good and 9 times out of 10 it is all we know. Taking the blinders off means facing the truth we know is real, but was hoping to never face. Plus, He doesn’t want us to wallow in sin…He wants us to repent and turn away from sin.
Next, He wants to cultivate our spiritual vision. This process goes through stages which are Conception, Development, Trevail, and The Birth.
Visualization- in which the vision will be identified.
Conceptualization- you learn the concept of purpose behind the vision. The unifying theme of the world in God’s word that reveals His global purpose.
Objectification- you learn the objectives for fulfilling the vision.
Expectation- in which your expectations will be fulfilled as you become part of the vision.
Trevail- difficulty; alone time must be spent with God before the birthing period. Brings sorrows with new joy during a time of transition. Gives a new commitment and dedication to your relationship with God.
Birth of a vision- developing spiritual vision is the process of recognizing the purpose for which you have been brought into the Kingdom of God. (Ref. II Kings 6:15-23)
When God shows you exactly who certain people are in your life believe Him. He will bring about confirmation that the door is closed. Don’t knock, just trust Him and walk away head held high with a peace that surpasses all understanding! Some things can’t be explained, they just have to be experienced.
We are viewing things with our natural eyes versus our spiritual eyes. Our natural views want things to be explained and reasoned with, yet spiritually we need to believe….have the utmost Faith. Our spiritual eyes see things that line up with God’s word…in essence, we see in truth and light.
Once we see clearly, no longer fitting in with the world’s way is an understatement. Our lives change dramatically, in an instant, in a blink of an eye. Be ready…attacks are coming. When attack goes against your Christian beliefs rather than yourself is hard. People who don’t know you will challenge what you are doing because they don’t know you personally nor can they fathom what God is about to do in your life. They can only bring up your past which has been buried the moment you asked for forgiveness. It’s sad when those people are the ones you love and hold dearly…ones you call family or friends.
Lift up your head to take your eyes off all personal issues, discouragment, business and worldly concerns. Look at the spiritual harvest, so you will be able to see the world through God’s eyes.
Ask God to remove the blinders. Believe what He is about to show you. It’s time to awaken our slumbering spirits to see the challenge set before us.
Your Faith will move the MOUNTAIN!
